How much do you LOVE YOURSELF?

I was asked this question not too long ago:
How much do you love yourself??
At this point in my life that question is so much easier to answer, in fact I can remember when if I were to judge the answer on a scale between 1 - 10...I was probably hanging on at a 3, constantly slipping back down to a 2.
But now.....my life has changed so much.
A big part of my healing has been removing all toxicity from my life..including family members that are narcissistic, aka my mother!!
That's not easy to do....no contact takes time and effort to enforce. You see, my core persona has a deep belief in the good of all mankind and their ability to change. After all, I've seen myself transform through the  years...sometimes in a positive way and other times in a very negative way.
But there comes a point when you recognize that people have to WANT to change....and narcissists do not want that....after all they are perfect!!!
But after all toxicity is removed....more is needed in an effort to heal. Personal growth does not happen automatically, and damage from trauma or abuse does not simply vanish with time.
Effort is needed to heal.
Sometimes we put forth effort in ourselves externally....after all, think about how much you have spent on yourself in clothes, accessories or jewelry this past year. Think about how much time you put forth to making yourself attractive on the outside....coloring your hair, getting a manicure, styling your hair, makeup, perfume, etc.
But what about effort into beautifying yourself internally?????
That's the key to reaching your truest potential as a person....there is a priceless joy and contentment with getting to know who you are at the core and having the ability to "be" this person at all times.
That doesn't just happen for those that have been in abusive situations....it takes work, but it is well worth the effort.

Make it a goal to REACH YOUR FULLEST POTENTIAL AS A PERSON
